METER at EGU 2025

Talk to METER scientists and experts at the European Geosciences Union Congress. Learn about new products, applications, and other resources to support your research program.

Visit us at Booth #03 to learn about our enhancements to the HYPROP lab instrument, as well as:

    • Soil sensors, including the TEROS 22 Soil Water Potential Sensor. See how the simple installation and durable design of our sensors can make every step of your measurement process easier.
    • Data logging and telemetry devices like the ZL6 Data Logger. The ZL6 can be configured with cellular or Wi-Fi communications, allowing the logger to deliver near real-time data to ZENTRA Cloud for data collection and visualization.
    • All-in-one weather stations that collect the data you need in a compact, versatile package. See the ATMOS 41W—a completely wireless weather station that fits in a backpack, supporting projects in the most remote environments.
    • Laboratory instruments like the PARIO and HYPROP that reduce data collection time and the chance for human error in automated soil particle analysis and generating soil water retention curves.

Meet our experts:

Thomas Pertassek | Managing Director

Thomas has been with METER for more than 20 years, initially as a developer and later as a product manager for the HYPROP, KSAT and PARIO products. He has been a key force in the development and success of the VARIOS. Thomas' extensive experience gives him a wide knowledge of our laboratory products, and he is able to answer detailed questions relating to them.

Anton Irlbeck | Director of Sales
Europe, Middle East, and Africa

Anton carries a diploma in physics and is interested in the impact of water content on land protection applications, such as land slides and levees, as well as thermal conductivity of soil and its importance for infrastructure, such as ground cable projects.

Wolfgang Durner | Research Scientist

Wolfgang has a Ph.D degree in Environmental Sciences and is emeritus Professor for Soil Physics and Soil Hydrology at Technische Universität Braunschweig. He is an expert in water movement in unsaturated soil and characterization of soil hydraulic properties, combining numerical simulation and experimental measurement techniques.

Sebastian Weller | Sales Manager
Europe, Middle East, and Africa

Sebastian has a PhD in Agricultural Biology, studying greenhouse gas emissions from rice-maize cropping systems. He is interest ed in TEROS & PHYTOS sensor applications in agriculture and plant physiology.

Salvatore Militano | Support Manager EMEA Region

Salvatore has been with METER for more than 7 years and has a professional background in Geography. He has a wide knowledge of the entire METER product line and extensive experience with METER products in.
